JOHN HOWARD refused to concede last night that Mohamed Haneef was innocent of involvement in terrorism as he defended the treatment of the Indian doctor by saying it was better to be safe than sorry.
That's right don't worry that he hasn't been found guilty - the assumption of innocence doesn't apply to brown people I guess. Don't worry that the Federal Police have dropped the charges.
Best deport or jail everyone who might conceivably be a terrorist supporter. All those non-whites to start with, followed by anyone whose ever been in the same room as a communist supporter/labor voter (excluding politicians of course, they have to attend parliament after all).
Better safe than sorry!
