Always changing... - 2006-12-12 20:18:45
We arrived in Sydney on Sunday night, our trip conveniently coincides with another batch of changes from reviewers of my thesis, which I may subtitle: The Neverending Story.
So on Monday headed to uni to pick up the comments, of course the science faculty chose that day to close at 1pm. So on Tuesday I headed back to uni again, and this time they stayed open until 4pm so I have the comments.
I also dropped in to see Judy, since I need to coordinate making these changes with her.
The new building is nice. Very sterile, metal and glass everywhere. But the space is much better organised. Glass walls seperating the offices from the open plan layout that the plebs live in. Looks like a much more productive layout to me. Though it's lost the character that an old stone building brings. Bob of course showed off the Wii they bought - research purposes I'm sure...
A bunch of other building I remember are now holes in the ground too - the shed and whatever the building next to carslaw was - geology maybe?
I did go to Azzuri - and my oh my how am I going to go back to the states now. I'd forgotten what real coffee was like, latte art and all...
